After interfering in Ryback’s match, Rusev and Lana end up walking backstage and Lana brags about what just happened, but Hulk Hogan walks up to them and says they aren’t getting away with this. Hulk says Rusev is going to defend his championship tonight, and he doesn’t like what they are up to, but he wants to know what Rusev’s going to do when he loses his title tonight and walks away.

Dean Ambrose vs Rusev (w/ Lana)

Ambrose stomps Rusev a few times before Rusev kicks him in the corner, then Rusev whips him at the ropes but Ambrose rebounds with a dropkick. Rusev gets sent outside and Ambrose hits a suicide dive, then he rolls Rusev back in and goes for a near fall. Rusev elbows Ambrose a few times and puts him in a side headlock, but Ambrose fights back before Rusev clotheslines him as we go to a break. We get back to see Ambrose fight out of a nerve hold, then Rusev hits a fallaway slam for two before kicking him and setting up for the Accolade. Ambrose makes it to the ropes to break, then he sidesteps a corner splash and Rusev hits the ringpost before Ambrose gets a near fall rollup. Ambrose connects with some punches and forearm shots, then he heads up top but jumps over Rusev when he tries to crotch Ambrose on the turnbuckles.

Ambrose clotheslines him before heading back up top, this time hitting a standing elbow drop for two, then Ambrose goes for Dirty Deeds but Rusev kicks him and rolls outside. Ambrose chases him down and clotheslines him, then he whips Rusev into the barricade before Bray Wyatt runs out and attacks Ambrose.

Winner (by disqualification): Dean Ambrose

Miz turns and tries to throw Goldust out but it gets reversed, and Stardust holds the ropes and Miz gets dumped on the floor. Mizdow sees this and throws himself outside, then Swagger clotheslines Goldust and Stardust outside before Titus eliminates Jimmy.

Titus tries to kick Jey but he ducks and sends Titus outside, then Jey kicks Kidd a few times but Kidd catches him and takes him out with a headscissors. We’re down to Swagger, Kidd, Cesaro and Rusev, so everyone attacks Swagger before they try to press slam him outside. Swagger grabs the ropes and throws some punches, then he slams Cesaro into the turnbuckles and powerslams Rusev. Swagger hits a Swagger Bomb on Rusev before Cesaro tries to send him outside, but Swagger sends him to the apron with a gutwrench slam. Kidd dives at him but Swagger catches him and throws him outside, then Cesaro sidesteps Rusev and shoves him into Swagger on the apron. Cesaro dumps Rusev outside but Rusev holds on and only has one foot hit the floor, then he runs back in and sends Cesaro outside before knocking Swagger off the apron.

Winner – Rusev

Rusev and Lana come out and interrupt a promo between Big Show and Mark Henry. Lana mocks both men, saying they’re pathetic. She says both are the Goodyear blimps of the WWE – they’re all blown up, full of gas and very slow. As the crowd chant “USA!”, Rusev says that the people of America will turn on the Big Show when he beats him at Hell in a Cell. Big Show will let these people down, just like his best friend Mark Henry did. After he loses to Rusev, Show will disgrace himself and his stupid USA. Rusev says he will crush Big Show.

Big Show tells Rusev to shut up. He says that Rusev can’t crush his spine because it is American made – it won’t break or fold. Show says that at Hell in a Cell he will chokeslam Rusev and knock him out and pin him 1, 2, 3. A staredown ends the segment.

Big Show comes out and says everyone has to answer for their actions at some point, and he wants to have an honest and open discussion. He says his patriotism might have got the best of him, and he shouldn’t have pulled down the Russian flag, because they’d be pissed if someone did it to the American flag. Show says he generally likes the Russian people he meets, and he can’t take back his actions, but what he can do is sincerely apologize to any Russians he offended.

Rusev and Lana cut him off, and Lana says Show owes Rusev a personal apology, but Show says he doesn’t owe either one of them anything. Rusev runs Show down and says he spit in their faces and on the Russian flag with his actions, then Rusev beats him with the flag pole and kicks him in the face. Rusev taunts the crowd but Show gets up and is enraged, so Rusev backs away and leaves while Show dares him to come back and fight.

Rusev and Lana join Renee Young for thoughts on tonight’s main event, and Lana just cuts a promo in Russian. She stops and says of course Renee doesn’t understand her, so she says Rusev will crush anything in his way, and they aren’t worried at all.

Rusev (w/ Lana) vs Big Show

Big Show and Rusev trade shots before Show goes for a quick rollup, then Show shoulder tackles Rusev as he kicks out of the pin. We get back from a break to see Show chopping Rusev in the corner, then Rusev takes him out with a chop block. Rusev repeatedly elbows Show’s knee, then Show makes it to his feet and knocks Rusev down. Show calls for a Knockout punch but Rusev ducks, then he connects with a thrust kick before applying a grounded headlock.

Show gets to his feet and elbows Rusev in the head, then he connects with a few clotheslines and whips him into the corner. He clotheslines Rusev in the corner and whips him to the opposite corner, then hits another clothesline before chokeslamming him. Show calls for a Knockout punch again but Lana grabs on to Show’s foot, stopping him. She pleads with him to stop, then she gets in the ring and hides away in the corner, playing the victim long enough to distract Show, and Rusev attacks Show with the Russian flag and gets disqualified. He continues to attack Show, but Show makes a comeback and hits him and staggers him, then Rusev goes to kick him but Show catches his foot before knocking him out cold.

Winner (by disqualification) – Big Show

Post match, Big Show celebrates at having knocked down Rusev, with the crowd chanting “USA!”. Show leaves as Lana angrily shouts at a groggy Rusev to end SmackDown.

We see a replay of Mark Henry’s rally on Monday Night Raw. We cut to Rusev and Lana talking backstage before we go to a commercial.

Roman Reigns vs. Rusev

Rusev steps into the ring expecting an ovation but it just doesn’t happen. The bell sounds and they tear at each other, locking up and grappling until they both end up outside. After they exchange a few blows Reigns tosses Rusev back inside and begins pounding on the big dude but Rusev comes back with a vengeance. Rusev looks pretty strong but Reigns seems to shrug off some of the more powerful blows. He puts Rusev down briefly after taking to the air but it seems unlikely that we’ve seen the best of the big Bulgarian as we head into a break.

Rusev indeed battles back, powering Reigns into the corner and smashing him into the turnbuckles. He goes to the well once too often and Reigns avoids being put down for the count just yet, hitting the ropes and toppling Rusev with a flying clothesline. He then delivers a boot to Rusev’s noggin out on the apron and starts to load up the Superman punch. Seth Rollins materializes outside, distracting Reigns and Rusev puts him on the mat and sets up the clutch. Reigns escapes and plants Rusev on the canvas. Rollins comes back in and ascends the top in an attempt to crack Reigns on the scull with the briefcase. He misses and hits Rusev instead, prompting the DQ.

Result: Rusev wins via DQ after interference by Seth Rollins.

Reigns chases Rollins outside and they brawl into the crowd as Lana and Rusev celebrate inside. Mark Henry comes out and tells the crew to unfurl Old Glory from the rafters, enraging Rusev. Henry charges in and Rusev clobbers him until Henry musters up every iota and fiber of intestinal fortitude. In a pretty cool spot, Henry and Rusev charge at each other and Henry scoops up Rusev for the World’s Stongest Slam. Mark stands tall as the show fades to black.
